Facebook’s built-in scheduling tool is great for posting on Facebook ahead of time. What if you want to pre-schedule posts on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn or Pinterest? To schedule in advance (which is important for a consistent, efficient social media strategy) on these platforms, you need a third-party tool.
One of the easiest to use is Hootsuite. These steps will have your Hootsuite account up and running in just a few minutes! We suggest using Hootsuite’s free account option at first. If you find you love the platform and want to access more features, you can upgrade later.
Step 1: Visit https://hootsuite.com/create-free-account#/. Enter your name, email address and password. Click Create my Free Account.
Step 2: Click on the social media account you want to connect. A window will pop up asking you to authorize access to your account. Log in to your account in this window to grant Hootsuite access. Click Sign In.
Step 3: Continue to add accounts if you want to. You can always connect more accounts later. Hootsuite lets you add up to three social media profiles with its free account. When you’re ready, click Add More Social Profiles Later.
Step 4: Fill out the form with your center’s name, industry and company size. You can also add your phone number, but you don’t have to. Click All Done!
